ABOUT THE FOUNDER
 Ashie was born in Africa. Graduated from the Parklane Langam Institute in London, England (1973) in business. She pursued a career in the Fashion/Cosmetics/Perfume Industry with Holt Renfrew and Leone. Ashie founded Mon Parfum, Parfumerie in Vancouver in 1989. She grew the company and attracted the attention of S.H. Krikorian, an Italian Parfumerie Distributor, which she joined in 1991 where she continued to grow the high-end market. While at S.H. Krikorian, she was the National Trainer for Canada for Dolce Gabbana, Bulgari, Gianni Versaci, Gianfranco Ferre, La Perla and several other Italian designers and managed the territory for British Columbia. During her tenure, Ashie achieved top sales for Canada and received numerous awards, in addition to being featured in a number of industry fashion articles within the fashion industry in North America. In 2000, Ashie changed her career and studied the stock markets. In 2003, she founded Heart In Action Enterprises and is also the President/Co-founder of Asita Informatica Inc. In addition to having a solid background in sales and marketing, promotion, training, management and purchasing, Ashie has extensive experience in human resources, corporate affairs, investor relations and corporate communications. She is the President of Heart In Action Enterprises (www.heartinaction.com) New Media social enterprise. Heart In Action Enterprises’ is a subsidiary of Asita Informatica Inc. and matches technologies resources with young people who have entrepreneurial ideas that can make a difference and an impact in developing countries and globally. Heart In Action Enterprises supports and profiles global leaders and youth leaders by providing next-generation live interactive multimedia communications tools. She was invited to showcase “Youth Making a Difference through the Power of Technology” at the “Human Forum of Puerto Rico” at the December 2004 Conference: www.anhglobal.org. Several key technology partners and youth leaders Aliya Jiwani and Ali Kanji, founders of Aiding Youth for Life, Devin Karrington and Nazanin Afshin Jam (Miss Canada 2002-2004) were part of the 2004 conference in Puerto Rico. Ashie has produced several Virtual Conferences and Broadcast with other global and youth leaders, activists and youth groups and organizations to showcase their work globally on a virtual basis (eg. – remotely over the internet) with next generation live interactive communication tools. This was the first project showcased in 2004. Since then Heart In Action has produced 25 global events and can be viewed on the website under (Past Events). Ashie’s vision started in 2003 and has one vision and one goal to bridge the digital divide and to bring the “secured multimedia communication” technologies to developing countries. She believes that each child, each youth should be given the opportunity to communicate, interact, dialogue, be educated and empower themselves and learn through this medium and providing a platform for their voices to be heard with security enhanced features within the platform for children and youth globally for their safety. Ashie’s philosophy in life, working collectively and collaboratively is immense “power”. Ashie’s mission and declaration each child has the right to communicate, be educated and given the support , love , hope and dignity and be empowered.
